COMPASSION SUNDAYS SEPTEMBER 17 & 24, 2017
Please look for the Compassion Sunday table during coffee hour on September 17 & 24. You will have the opportunity to sign up to sponsor a child and hear from members of the Mission Committee. Below is the meaning behind this mission.
Compassion Sunday is a day when you can stir hearts with God's call to protect "the least of these." It's a day to grab hold of the outstretched hands of children trapped in a world of poverty and take steps to release them, in Jesus name!
We believe, and Scripture teaches, that when we reach out to show Christ's love to the poor, we are transformed. Child sponsorship provides a personal connection with an individual child living in poverty. Our congregation will be transformed as it develops relationships with the children it sponsors.
