CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
WELCOME TO CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Fostering children's spiritual growth is one of our main missions. Our Director of Children and Family Ministries leads the Sunday children's message and spearheads our creative Sunday School program, Vacation Bible School, and oversees the Youth Services and our Confirmation Program.
CHILDREN AND SUNDAY SCHOOL
(September through June) At First Pres, the program begins at 10:15 for children ages Pre-K through High School. Students first attend the opening minutes of our 10:00 am worship service to hear a children's message. After the children's message, all are dismissed to class as a group, where they learn and discuss the exciting stories of the Bible. On the first Sunday of each month, on Communion Sunday, they will attend Sunday School at 10:00 AM. We have a music program led by Carol Schmiedecke, director
of Handbells and Youth Music.

CONFIRMATION
Confirmation Class for 8th and 9th Graders is held every other year. Young people may choose to join our church as full members after completing a one-year confirmation experience. We offer a program, using the curriculum, Big God, Big Questions, to all confirmation candidates. This program helps young people to grow as faithful disciples and responsible members of the community of faith. Students meet for about a dozen group classes that meet on Sundays at 10:15 am. They are also invited to a confirmation retreat in October at Johnsonburg Camp & Retreat Center in Johnsonburg, NJ.

ADULT EDUCATIONS
Adult Education Programs:
Offered are Bible-Video discussions and book discussions on a variety of topics and scriptures led by our pastor. Guest speakers are among the highlights of our Education Options. Programs are generally scheduled on Sunday after 10 am worship. Other programs are held on Wednesday afternoons.
