Ridgewood’s Presbyterian Churches Partner to Fundraise for Hurricane Victims
“East Meets West” a program involving two Presbyterian Ridgewood churches continues its work in ministry and mission. On Saturday, November 4th First Presbyterian Church and West Side Presbyterian Church enjoyed a fun Jeopardy-style Trivia Night Fundraiser event.
Emcee of the evening was Ridgewood’s talented David Madden, a 19-Day Jeopardy champion who is the founder and executor director of both national and international academic competitions in history and geography. Over 80 people enjoyed a fun evening as they “tested” their knowledge in different categories (Christianity, geography, history, sports, pop culture, …).
The event raised $1650 which will be donated to the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA), an emergency and refugee program of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. These funds will be used to help the victims that were affected by all the recent hurricanes.
The top two teams played off with a First Pres team being the champions of the night. It was a wonderful evening of fun and fellowship as the two churches came together for a common purpose, helping others in need.
